Someone should probably go check on CNN anchor Dana Bash and make sure she’s not seriously ill or has been swept away by men in white coats to nearest funny farm. I say that because in a recent segment on the news network, Bash actually took a shot at Vice President Kamala Harris, the woman currently running as the Democratic Party presidential nominee against former President Donald Trump. I mean, she’s sort of breaking away a bit from her role as a propagandist and not following the orders of her progressive overlords. A dangerous game for someone like her who could find themselves receiving a pink slip for not being a team player and sticking with the hive mind.
I guess it all could just be a rouse to make us actually think that the folks who work for CNN do, on occasion, have an original thought of their own that they aren’t spoon fed by producers and are, in reality, “fair and balanced.” Laughable, yes, but you wouldn’t believe the number of people out here who actually buy into such a ridiculous claim.
During the segment, Bash suggested a drinking game for every time Harris repeated — almost verbatim — the same old talking points. Her co-host responded by pointing out that Harris doesn’t have a plan to ease up the high prices on groceries and has no answer for what to do. Both of these statements are, shockingly, true. It’s a jolt to the system to hear anything remote resembling something that is factually accurate. Like getting zapped with those paddles that are supposed to restart your heart.
DANA BASH: "When you listen to Kamala Harris, you could almost start a drinking game," every time she repeats her tired talking points.

One user on X responded to the video clip by giving a rather lengthy explanation of economic policies held by both nominees:
Harris has an ironic plan for small businesses. She is wanting to raise corporate tax rates, which of course will make it more difficult for small businesses to make a profit. But she will give them a “50,000 tax deduction” for a new business. Trump’s policies were to reduce unnecessary regulations and lower taxes, which were favorable to anyone starting a new business, but he worked with capitalism, not against it. For some reason, Harris seems to think the answer to every problem is to hand out government favors, even places where they shouldn’t belong, such as “make preschool free”. And as soon as the government hands out a benefit, they will be able to manipulate what the recipient does or doesn’t do. “You can have this deduction, but only if you prove you have DEI hiring practices and have “diversity” (CRT) training for all your employees.” So both Harris and Trump think thriving small business is a good thing. Trump wants to allow it to happen with greater freedom, and Harris wants people to owe her something.

Okay, so Bash and Weigel both were right about something. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. So don’t get too excited.
