In 90 days there have been two assassination attempts against Republican presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump. According to the man himself, the reason this keeps happening is due to the mainstream media and other liberal activists pushing a number of hoaxes and false narratives about him, many of which have already been totally debunked. But that hasn’t stopped the left from using them as fodder against Trump as a means of turning left-wingers against him for the sake of votes.
Unfortunately, there are some truly demented people among the radical left who are getting so traumatized by the false narratives that they are resorting to acts of violence against the former president. So the folks at The Christian Post thought it might be a good idea to look at some of these debunked hoaxes.
The “Very Fine People” Hoax
During the presidential debate last week between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the latter brought up an accusation that has been leveled at the former president for years, despite being debunked over and over again. The allegations Harris threw at Trump involve accusations that he once, back in 2017, referred to white supremacists as “very fine people.”
The mischaracterization regarding Trump’s remarks about the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 remains one of the most longstanding hoaxes about his presidency, despite having even been debunked by the left-leaning Snopes earlier this year. The tense protests that roiled Charlottesville, which came amid controversy over plans to dismantle a prominent statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, turned violent when neo-Nazis and others with links to far-right groups clashed with left-wing counter-protesters. James Alex Fields was found guilty in 2018 of first-degree murder for killing Heather Heyer and injuring 19 others when he rammed his car into a group of counter-protesters.
Remember Charlottesville when Trump called neo-Nazis very fine people?
I only saw the full clip for the first time today
It’s a must watch — he literally CONDEMNS the Neo Nazis and white nationalists https://t.co/62G0UC5DPL

Sip On Some Bleach
While on the debate stage back in June, President Joe Biden mentioned the debunked claim that during the COVID pandemic, Trump encouraged Americans to either gulp down some bleach or inject the substance directly into the vein in order to fight off the coronavirus. And, of course, that’s not at all what was meant and anyone with more than one fully functional brain cell — which Biden does not possess — would have known that.
At a press conference during the height of the pandemic on April 23, 2020, Trump made an off-the-cuff remark about the potential efficacy of UV light to kill the virus, and floated the idea such light could somehow be brought “inside the body.” At no time during his comments did Trump advise anyone to drink or inject bleach, according to PolitiFact. The hoax was perpetuated by major outlets such as Politico, which in 2021 ran with the headline: “It’s been exactly one year since Trump suggested injecting bleach. We’ve never been the same.”
“So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it,” the former president said. “And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way.”
He then said that it would be worth doing some research to see if disinfectants could somehow be brought into the body to fight the virus.
“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute,” he elaborated. “And is there a way we can do something like that? By injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because, you see, it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me.”
Nowhere did he say that people should drink or inject these substances.
The Bloodbath Remark
Another tidbit brought up by Harris during the debate was an accusation that Trump was fomenting political violence when he stated back in March at one of his campaign rallies that there would be a “bloodbath” if he wasn’t reelected. Of course, what she didn’t tell you was that the speech, made on March 16 in Dayton, Ohio was about what would happen to the auto industry if liberals won another term in the White House.
The media is lying about Donald Trump with this narrative about a “bloodbath” if he loses the election. He was very clearly talking about the car manufacturing industry—before and after he used the word.

“We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars,” he stated during the rally. “If I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath, for the whole — that’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars.”
The Biden administration then attempted to use this statement to accuse him of wanting another Jan. 6 incident, but that is not at all what was meant, as you can clearly see.
Tear-Gassing Protesters For Photo Op
“Amid the intense riots that roiled Washington, D.C., following the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020, Trump faced accusations that he tear-gassed protesters in Lafayette Square across from the White House on June 1 to clear the way for a Bible-toting photo-op at nearby St. John’s Church, which protesters had set on fire the night before,” The CP report explained.
A federal probe into the incident revealed that neither then-Attorney General Bill Barr nor the former president ordered any protesters to be tear gassed in order to clear a path for Trump to pass through the square, according to NBC News.
“We found that the Park Police made the decision to clear the park of protesters in order to install an anti-scale fencing to protect the park and U.S. Park Police officers during those protests,” Greenblatt said to NBC. “We did not find evidence that the Park Police officials made that decision in order to permit the president of the United States to visit the park, or for a photo op at the St. John’s Church, across the street.”
Trump Will Be A ‘Dictator On Day One’
Vice President Harris has, on numerous occasions, made the claim that Trump has promised to be a “dictator on day one” of his second term should he win in November, which is a reference that Trump made as a joke back in December 2023, which was immediately ripped out of its proper context by leftists.
Trump’s comment came during a town hall with Fox News host Sean Hannity in response to concerns that Trump would use his political power to seek revenge against his enemies.
“I want to go back to this one issue, though, because the media has been focused on this and attacking you,” Hannity stated. “Under no circumstances — you are promising America tonight — you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody.”
“Except for day one,” Trump responded. “I want to close the border and I want to drill.”
Trump: "He says 'you're not going to be a dictator are you?' I said no no no, other than Day 1. We're closing the border, and we're drilling drilling drilling. After that, I'm not a dictator." pic.twitter.com/SZU6KiYd2l

“Other than day one,” Trump continued during a light-hearted back-and-forth with Hannity. “We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator. OK?”
“That sounds to me like you’re going back to the policies when you were president,” Hannity replied.
