Nothing brings a smile to my face quite like seeing the propaganda makers that dwell within the cesspool of Hollywood fail in their efforts to create and distribute so-called “works of art” that trash conservatives and liberty, especially when it comes to former President Donald Trump. These miscreants have been working hard ever since the very first presidential campaign he launched during the 2016 race for the White House to destroy every facet of his life, including his family and his businesses.
But every step of the way has been met with defeat, and it looks like that trend is going to continue for quite awhile. A new film by liberal filmmakers called “The Apprentice,” about Trump that stars Avengers actor Sebastian Stan, left the Cannes Film Festival without winning a single award or receiving any sort of distribution deal.
That might be due to the former president threatening a lawsuit against the filmmakers and issuing a cease-and-desist letter.
You love to see it.

In addition, the movie failed to win any prizes at Saturday’s closing ceremony, despite some movie pundits predicting that actor Sebastian Stan would be rewarded for his portrayal of Trump.
While a buyer could materialize in the weeks ahead, the road to U.S. distribution looks uncertain as streamers and specialty theatrical labels would have to weigh the possibility of a messy and protracted legal fight. Box-office prospects also appear dim, as audiences have largely shunned political and other big-issue movies in recent years.
The Apprentice garnered an enormous amount of media attention at this year’s Cannes, particularly for its scene depicting Trump raping his first wife, Ivana. The movie also shows Trump undergoing plastic surgery and liposuction.
Ivana Trump herself has denied that her then-husband ever raped her. Following the Cannes premiere, Trump’s campaign threatened to suethe filmmakers.
“We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers,” the Trump campaign’s chief spokesperson Steven Cheung went on to say in a statement. “This garbage is pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.”
Cheung then referred to the movie as “malicious defamation.”
The legal team representing the former president sent out a cease-and-desist letter to Ali Abassi, the film’s director, and Gabriel Sherman, the screenwriter, warning them against seeking a distribution deal for the movie.
“It is a concoction of lies that repeatedly defames President Trump and constitutes direct foreign interference in America’s elections,” the letter explained. “If you do not immediately cease and desist all distribution and marketing of this libelous farce, we will be forced to pursue all appropriate legal remedies.”
The movie was financed and produced outside of the official Hollywood studio system, having raised funds to make it from overseas companies and a few stateside investors.
At the end of the day, this was a hit piece of a film designed to help make Trump look like some sort of diabolical villain and convince voters not to cast a ballot for him in 2024. It’s meddling in the upcoming election, pure and simple. The left is finding all sorts of sneaky ways to influence minds and hearts.
