For the second time this summer, former President Donald Trump has managed to avoid being hit by an assassin’s bullet. On Sunday, the GOP presidential nominee was playing a round of golf at his personal club in Florida when 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh opened fire on him with an alleged AK-47. Fortunately, the Secret Service was able to protect Trump and get him to safety without injury. The suspect was taken into custody and charged in court on Monday morning.
New information continues to emerge as the investigation into the shooting moves forward, including a tidbit mentioned in a Fox News report broadcast on television that states the shooter spent almost 12 hours near the golf course where the incident took place. Questions have arisen as a result of this information, namely, how, with Secret Service protection, this man was allowed to be this close to the former president while sporting such a powerful weapon? It’s the second time we’ve had to ask that question since July. We need answers as to why the Secret Service continues to fail to prevent dangerous individuals from gaining access to Trump.
As you can imagine, folks are beginning to speculate and piece together some rather wild theories. Especially since Trump’s whereabouts were not public knowledge. How did Routh know when and where Trump would be on Sunday? Did someone feed him information? If so, who? Are there more parties involved in these attempts than we know about? And to make matters worse, the primary investigation is being handled by the FBI.
The same weaponized government agency that has politically persecuted and prosecuted Trump and others who support him. What could possibly go wrong?
Fox News: Second Trump shooter spent nearly 12 hours near the golf course

Following the second attempt on his life, Trump spoke with Fox News where he stated his belief that these madmen are coming out of the woodwork to do him harm thanks to the fiery rhetoric being used by both Biden and Harris.
“He believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it,” Trump went on to say of the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, who was arrested after attempting to flee the scene, according to The Post Millennial. “Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country —both from the inside and out.”
Trump noted comments from Biden and Harris, the latter of which is now running against Trump, painting Trump as a “threat to democracy” while in turn saying that they are “unity” leaders. “They are the opposite. These are people that want to destroy our country,” he said, adding that, “It is called the enemy from within. They are the real threat.”
“They do it with a combination of rhetoric and lawsuits they wrap me up in. These are the things that dangerous fools, like the shooter, listen to — that is the rhetoric they listen to, and the same with the first one,” the former president said during the interview.
Trump also wrote a post on Truth Social saying, “The Rhetoric, Lies, as exemplified by the false statements made by Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate, and all of the ridiculous lawsuits specifically designed to inflict damage on Joe’s, then Kamala’s, Political Opponent, ME, has taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust. Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse! Allowing millions of people, from places unknown, to INVADE and take over our Country, is an unpardonable sin.”
He added that the borders “must be closed,” and all the “terrorists, criminals, and mentally insane” be immediately deported to their countries of origin. “we want people to come into our country, but they must love our nation, and come in legally and through a system of merit. The world is laughing at us as fools, they are stealing our jobs and our wealth. We cannot let them laugh any longer. Make America great again!”
Officials revealed that Routh had been taking cover in the bushes with an “AK-47 style rifle with a scope, two backpacks which were hung on the fence that had ceramic tile in them and a GoPro” camera.
The report closed out by saying, ” Secret Service agents spotted the suspect, who was around 300 to 500 yards from Trump, and opened fire, though the suspect fled. He was later arrested on I-95. On social media, Routh had claimed that “‘democracy is on the ballot’ in 2024, a claim that has been said by Democratic politicians and pundits.”
