Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman is on a journey, ladies and gentlemen. It seems he is on a path that deviates greatly from that he was initially placed on by the Democratic Party, opting to forsake blind loyalty to said party in favor of actually following his own values and principles, come hell or high water. We’ve been witnessing this new adventure for quite a while now with various statements Fetterman has made about supporting Israel and then coming out against illegal immigration — he’s a big supporter of the Laken Riley Act — to now seemingly signaling he is going to vote in favor of President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks.
Are we living in the upside-down? What in the world is happening?
A report from The Daily Wire revealed that during an interview this week, the Pennsylvania Democrat said he will be voting for the nominees because that’s “how democracy works.” This guy is not long for the Democratic Party’s world. I can’t wait until he pulls a Tulsi Gabbard and converts to our side of the aisle. I think he holds more conservative opinions than he lets on. He’d be an asset for sure. He speaks truth and voices his thoughts on the issues no matter what side it lands on. There’s something admirable about that level of honesty.
Fetterman made the remarks during a Tuesday night Fox News interview with Bret Baier just a couple of hours after he met with former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI), Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Transportation. When asked by Baier if he could vote for Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Fetterman responded: “Well, you know, I met with her, in fact I think I’ve met with virtually all of them, and the ones that I haven’t, they’re on my schedule, RFK and Governor Noem, so I’m happy to meet with all of them.”
“And that’s also part of this, I don’t know why that was controversial,” he remarked during the conversation. “I mean, I got a lot of blowback just, you know, even to meet with them, and to me, I see that as just doing my job, and I’m going to have a conversation with anyone that would like to have a conversation with me.”
“And if someone believed everything that’s been written or said about me was true, I mean, you can’t possibly know me, or I think I could know her either, just based on someone read, but I’m going to sit down and have a conversation, and I’m really glad that I’ve done that, and some of these nominees I’m going to vote for already,” he added.
BREAKING: Democrat Sen. John Fetterman says go vote to confirm Marco Rubio, Elise Stefanik, and Sean Duffy:

Fetterman then revealed he’s planning to vote to confirm Duffy, Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio who will be taking over as Secretary of State, New York Republican Elise Stefanik for U.N. ambassador, and Brooke Rollins who was nominated as the Secretary of Agriculture.
“So there’s a lot of them, I can say right now here on FOX, I’m going to vote for them,” he announced. “But then there’s others that we’re going to go through the process, but I’m open to hear from everyone, and I don’t know why that’s controversial, and I also would like to remind everyone on the Democratic side, that’s the way democracy works.”
This dude is speaking far too much common sense. If he doesn’t end up leaving the Democrats, there’s a strong possibility he might be pushed out. Either way, it’s their loss. Having more open-minded people in the party willing to have conversations with those across the aisle would help heal the deep divide between Americans, which is desperately needed right now.
“Trump won, and now they’re going to run the table, and so they get to pick those kinds of people, and if you don’t have to agree with all of it, but I want to find a way to work together on a bunch of them,” he finished.
