Bill Burr, a very outspoken, highly opinionated comedian, took an opportunity during a recent live performance at the UC Berkeley’s campus on June 8 to absolutely rip into liberals and crack wise about President Joe Biden’s very apparent problems with cognitive decline. Some might say that’s going too far, but hey, that’s the point of comedy. It’s supposed to a little bit of truth mixed in with a bit of exaggeration to help a specific point that is kind of, sort of brutal be easier to swallow.
Burr performed his set at the university’s Greek Theatre, obliterating the radical left by saying, “I f****** hate Liberals!” before going on to explain that his issues with his fellow leftists — and yes, Burr is definitely on the progressive side on most issues — specifically comes from white liberals. It’s not so much their political stances the comedian has a problem with, but their hypocrisy. One example he mentioned was the white liberals who place “Black Lives Matter” signs in their windows, but who take no action at all toward ending actual white supremacy.
“That’s like if I told you my great-grandmother in Germany had a ‘Knock it off, Nazis’ sign,” Burr went on to say zing. He then decided to launch a full-throated assault on Biden by making a joke about him having dementia.

Burr didn’t stop there, launching into more assaults on white liberals, which was a huge hit with the crowd who responded with rather loud displays of support.
“If you run into a white person who says they’re an empath, run the other way,” he warned the crowd, according to a report from the San Francisco Gate. He then noted that many of these people like to take the suffering of others and twisted it to be about themselves.

Burr called out the crowd for laughing when he jabbed at Biden by suggesting he suffers from dementia and was once again applauded for his swipe at the President.
“Jesus, you guys are so supportive,” he said to the crowd. The famous comedian was embraced for maintaining a teasing tone, rather than lashing out at any particular group with harshly targeted criticism.
He went on to antagonize an audience member who heckled him and seemed to handle the matter with ease and effortless wisecracks. With lightning speed, Burr roasted the man for his diminished hairline and physique, before he said, “You are one of the people I see that makes me not believe in a loving god.”
Well, thankfully, Burr is wrong on that last point and a loving God does exist, though I totally understand the point he’s trying to communicate. Some people on this earth are so unbearable, so lacking in any semblance of actual intelligence that dealing with them can exhaust the soul. Fortunately, people like Burr feel our pain and have helped us cope with it by learning to laugh at the absurdity of it all.
Laughter really is good medicine, ladies and gentlemen.
