Jeffrey Katzenberg, a veteran of the entertainment industry and the former co-chair of President Joe Biden’s disastrous reelection campaign, has come out and stated that he’s now rooting for President-elect Donald Trump’s second administration to be successful and will “make us a better, stronger, more successful country.” Man, I really hope Katzenberg means that. If he does, then kudos to him. An attitude like that should be the norm among Americans, but unfortunately, radicals on the left have spent decades turning those with opposing political philosophies into the bitterest of enemies.
Katzenberg made his comments of support for Trump during a panel discussion that took place at Fortune’s Brainstorm AI conference in San Francisco on Tuesday.
“They won, we lost. Their bat, their ball. And I’m rooting for them to play great, seriously,” Katzenberg remarked during the discussion. “I’ve been on the winning team, and I’ve been on the losing team. It’s nicer to be on the winning team. But it is their turn at bat. And honestly, for the future of this country, and for the things that mean so much to many of us, I am rooting for their success in every single respect. I hope the changes that they bring make us a better, stronger, more successful country.”
This comment absolutely deserves a round of slow clapping. It’s sad this isn’t the norm in modern politics. We should root for the success of whoever is in office. Of course, we don’t root for bad policies and we call things like we see it. However, we should hope that the commander-in-chief, whether he has an “R” or “D” by his name, would abide by the Constitution and institute policies that will align with our values and increase our prosperity.

Katzenberg’s apparent olive branch comes after he called Trump a “colossal asshole” and a “catastrophe” earlier this year at an event in West Hollywood.
Jeffrey Katzenberg — the former Disney and DreamWorks boss — found himself at the center of a growing storm of accusations following the Biden’s disastrous debate performance in June, with donors alleging Katzenberg kept the president’s health issues hidden from them. Prior to the debate, Katzenberg called Biden’s age his “superpower.”
In a Reuters interview last year, he described Biden as “energetic” and “effective,” and suggested Republican attacks on his age will backfire.
“President Biden’s age is, in fact, his superpower,” Katzenberg commented. “I think people have tried to paint it as a liability or a negative and I think they are going to fail at that because his age is his knowledge and experience and as he has said, it is his wisdom.”
Yeah, his age was totally not his superpower. In fact, it turned out to be the instrument of his downfall. Well, that and cognitive decline paired with insanely bad economic and immigration policies. The only superpower Biden seems to possess, at least for the moment, is avoiding accountability for participating in an influence peddling scheme overseen by his crackhead son.
