Fox News host Brian Kilmeade was really, really ticked off with President Joe Biden for announcing on Thursday the birth of his great grandchild and for not taking questions from the media about the horrific wildfires devouring the streets of Los Angeles and other parts of Southern California. Why in the world would you address the country about your family matters at a time like this? It’s nauseatingly narcissistic. Then again, that’s Biden in a nutshell, isn’t it?
During a press event, Biden revealed that his granddaughter, Naomi, had given birth to her first child while he was receiving a briefing by officials from a fire station located in Santa Monica, California, alongside Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom. Kilmeade ripped into Biden saying that making the announcement and avoiding questions from the press on the wildfires was an “insult” to the residents of California, especially in light of the tens of thousands of people who have been evacuated from their homes. Five people have also died in the wildfires as well.
“That statement will not be in any leadership books,” Kilmeade said, beginning his rant. “No one cares about your personal thing as president. They care about the thousands of people who had everything lost and the five that are dead. President Biden marking the birth of his first great grandchild as he takes no questions which is an insult to the people, not to the press, to the people while joining Governor Newsom at a news conference yesterday as fire rages across Los Angeles.”
Here’s more on this from The Daily Caller:
Following the president’s announcement, briefing attendees could be heard congratulating him before White House staff ushered him out of the event without the 82-year-old answering any questions. Biden was initially scheduled to travel to Coachella Valley to designate two national monuments, though the plans were canceled once the wildfires spread across the Los Angeles area.
Many residents’ homes have perished in the fires as their neighborhoods caught ablaze throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. With the combination of heavy winds, the fires spread across Pacific Palisades, a Los Angeles coastal town, and reached the inland areas of Pasadena and Altadena, California.

Quite a few residents told the Daily Caller on Wednesday that they were given an order to leave their homes without any prior warning and hadn’t expected they would lose their homes. Karen Boss, mayor of Los Angeles, has been taking a lot of heat — I swear there was no pun intended — after she left for a trip to Ghana while flames raged on, leaving a path of death and destruction in their wake.
