Failed Democratic presidential candidate and former vice president, Kamala Harris, has informed those who are part of her inner circle that she has decided upon a timetable for making a huge decision about her political future. Harris is allegedly considering a bid for Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s job when he is term-limited in 2026.
I almost feel sorry for the people of the Golden State. They’ve suffered tremendously under the lousy leadership of Newsom and could potentially have to deal with Harris next? I can’t imagine a better picture of Hell on earth.
Notice I said “almost” feel sorry for them. In reality, they brought the stupidity of Newsom and his horrific progressive policies on themselves. And if Harris runs and wins, they will have brought that misery down on their own heads as well.
We’ve had an opportunity to see what Harris is truly like. The vast majority of Americans wouldn’t have voted for her to be the local dog catcher. And yet, there’s enough stupid floating around California that she has a good shot at coming out victorious.
A source close to Harris revealed to Fox News that the former vice president spoke with her allies and informed them she would come to a final decision about the gubernatorial race by the end of summer.
“There has been plenty of speculation since last year’s election regarding Harris, who replaced then-President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee last summer after he dropped out of the race amid mounting questions over his physical and mental stamina,” the article went on to say.
The two potential options for Harris are launching a gubernatorial run next year in her home state or seeking the presidency again in 2028. Extremely early polls in the next Democratic Party presidential nomination race – which are heavily reliant on name recognition at this point – indicate that the former vice president holds a significant lead over other potential White House contenders.
Democrats who still want Harris to run for president in 2028 have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they didn’t learn anything from the devastating loss they suffered against Trump in November 2024. Not a dang thing.
Our nation caught a glimpse of the true Kamala Harris and said not a chance in hell. She often came across as ditzy and brainless in the few interviews she participated in. Plus, her policies were the same ones as former President Joe Biden, which Americans didn’t want.
Why push that person to run a second time for president?
It is very unlikely she could do both. Running and winning election in 2026 as governor of heavily blue California, the nation’s most populous state and home to the world’s fifth-largest economy, would likely take a 2028 White House run off the table, allies and political analysts have indicated.
Before jumping on Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and ultimately becoming vice president, Harris served as the district attorney for the city of San Francisco before starting a career in the U.S. Senate.
The former vice president published a video message in which she promised all of her fans — the one or two she has — she would be staying in the fight and sticking beside her party “every step of the way.”
She recently spoke at the NAACP Image Awards, as she accepted the organization’s Chairman’s Award. This weekend, she is headed to Las Vegas – Nevada is an early-voting state in the presidential primary calendar and a key general election battleground – to speak at Human X, which is an AI-themed conference.
Maybe she should consider retirement from all forms of public service and start a garden or something.
