California Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters is apparently throwing her name in the hat for consideration for an Academy Award, as is evidenced by the heavily dramatic performance she delivered last weekend where, during an interview with MSNBC, she stated that if former President Donald Trump wins the general election later this year, “millions” of folks will be threatened and “killings” will happen.
All that was missing from the segment was super slow, ominous, dramatic music. Perhaps she should have put in a call to Hans Zimmer to write up a killer score to accompany the bit? What a missed opportunity.
The comments in question were made as part of a response to a question she was asked during the interview about whether or not she was worried about her personal safety if Trump defeats President Joe Biden.
What kind of question is that? The kind that is asked when a talking head for the radical left is attempting to spin a yarn and create some propaganda. Obviously, the powers-that-be at news networks like MSNBC know that the secret to running a successful business and motivating people to vote a certain way is to scare the h*** out of them. Fear is a powerful means of control over the weak minded.
So here we have liberals attempting to paint a particular kind of picture of what our society will look like if Trump wins this November. Which is apparently some sick and twisted dystopian nightmare that looks like something out of the Hunger Games with people being murdered left and right. Never mind we’ve had four years of Trump before and nothing even remotely like that happened.
“I’m very concerned, not only about my safety and not only about the safety of members of Congress,” Waters stated during the interview, according to The Daily Wire. “I’m concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people of color. Donald Trump has said that if he does not win, it is going to be fraud, and because it is going to be fraud, there will be blood in the streets. He threatens about a civil war, and he threatens there’s going to be violence.”
“I would say all of this talk is motivational with many of those who are racist, who are sitting at home listening to him, and they are taking him up on his threats even before the elections take place,” the California Democrat added. “It is about thousands, maybe millions of people being threatened and being at risk because of Donald Trump and his desire to seek revenge on anything and everybody.”
Waters then made the claim that Trump’s words, combined with what took place at the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, would ultimately lead to “more killings” happening.
She really wants that Oscar, guys.
“I think Donald Trump has to take responsibility for what he is saying about blood in the streets and violence if he is not elected to be the president of the United States of America,” she stated on the program.
