The prosecution’s star witness in the alleged “hush money” case, former President Donald Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen, proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s a pretty awful human being who has an axe to grind with his former employer, a point made clear by his admission during cross-examination that he stole money from the Trump Organization.
This delivers a devastating blow to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump as it totally undermines his trustworthiness and personal character. Do you really want to take the word of a thief as your star witness? We’re talking about a guy who would do anything to puff himself up and strike back at those he considers to be enemies.
Here’s more on this from the Daily Caller:
Cohen asked for reimbursement for the tech company payment alongside the $130,000 payment he made ahead of the 2016 election for a nondisclosure agreement with Stormy Daniels, which is at the heart of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump.
Trump was charged with 34 counts for allegedly falsifying business records to reimburse Cohen for the Daniels’ payment through monthly installments of $35,000, labeled as payment for “legal services.”

…These are hits below the waterline for Cohen but also the prosecutors. They had a man admitting to a major larceny but never charged Cohen. That made Cohen not only their man, but allowed him to keep stolen money…

Cohen is the only witness who has testified to Trump’s direct involvement in the payments. He testified last week that Trump approved of the plan to reimburse him, affirming that Weisselberg stated it in front of Trump and said Cohen would receive a total of $420,000 over 12 months.
Attorneys representing Trump in the case have lobbed a series of accusations at Cohen of lying at a key point during the testimony he gave last week. The defense presented a number of text messages that reveal he placed a call to Keith Schiller, Trump’s bodyguard, that had a much different purpose than the one he stated. Cohen said he made the call on Oct. 24, 2016 to chat about former porn star Stormy Daniels with Trump himself, however his lawyer Todd Blanche argued that the messages from Cohen show he talked with Schiller about handling harassing calls he had been getting from a 14-year-old.
George Washington Law professor Jonathan Turley wrote on X that Blanche’s hits were “below the waterline for Cohen but also the prosecutors” who allowed Cohen to keep the “stolen money.”
“They had a man admitting to a major larceny but never charged Cohen,” Turley stated.
We all know that the main goal with all of these indictments against the former president is to simply prevent him from taking on Biden later this year. It’s lawfare. The utilization of our once great justice system to help defeat the political opponents of a sitting president. And what’s really shocking is how little the radical leftists members of the deep state care about operating out in the open. None of what they have done to Trump over the past two years has been done in secret.
This is unprecedented.
And when the left is going after Trump this hard, you can guarantee he’s not the only one they’re looking to take down. Anyone who dares support him in the proverbial crosshairs too.
