A brand new poll has revealed which potential vice presidential pick would help give Trump a bigger boost among voters at the ballot box and it’s none other than South Carolina Republican Sen. Tim Scott. I bet that wasn’t the name you were thinking of, was it? Personally, I would have thought it would be someone like former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard or South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.
Then again, I guess Noem kind of blew her chances with the whole shooting a dog debacle that she recently went through. Who in the world allowed that part of the book to go to print? Didn’t she have someone from her camp go over the manuscript to ensure there were no accidental landmines in its pages? Ah well.
via The Daily Caller’s latest report:
Scott leads the field of possible vice presidential contenders, including former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York and former independent Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, according to a recent Harvard-Harris Poll. Scott drew 25% among voters who said they were more likely to vote for Trump if he was on the ballot, followed by 23% for Ramaswamy and 22% for Rubio.

Stefanik polled the lowest across all voters with only 13% reporting they would likely vote for a Trump-Stefanik ticket, while Gabbard received 19% support. Also mentioned as possible picks to be Trump’s running mate include Republican Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, who received 16% support of those surveyed, and Republican Gov. Doug Burgum of North Dakota was favored by 15% of those polled.
Trump previously named Scott as a potential vice presidential pick on a Fox News town hall in February. Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida have also been mentioned as possible selections, but their possible candidacies were not surveyed in this portion of the poll.
The former president’s base of supporters seem to be a whole more consolidated around him than those in Biden’s fan club, with a total of 78 percent of GOP voters saying they have already decided who they are casting a ballot for, while 70 percent of Democrats have said they know who they are going to support come November.
New polls show that Trump has a commanding lead in six out of seven swing states, with him surpassing his political nemesis most recently in the states of Pennsylvania, Nevada, and North Carolina. The former president is beating Biden in Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan.
Things aren’t looking all that great for the president right now, and, if we’re being honest, the future isn’t looking too bright for the guy either. And there’s no one for him to blame other than himself. He has made an absolute mess out of our economy, which has led to spikes in inflation and a significant cost increase for basic goods and services. Americans are spending twice as much for the same products. It’s really ticking off the ever shrinking middle class.
Add to that his failure to do anything meaningful at the southern border and you have a recipe for a major loss.
