Former President Donald Trump is brilliant when it comes to various aspects of business, including marketing and what it takes to be successful in the public spotlight. Which is why he gave CNN host Dana Bash some advice about how she can become a superstar journalist depending on how she handles the conversation she’s scheduled to have with Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party presidential nominee. This will be the first public interview for Harris since becoming the de facto nominee after President Joe Biden dropped from the race.
So what’s the advice Trump gave Bash? He said if she gives Harris a “fair but tough interview,” she will secure her place in journalistic history. And he’s right on the money. The problem, of course, is that Bash is anything but fair and balanced in her approach to journalism. She’s no fan of Trump’s or anyone else from the GOP. I highly doubt she’ll actually challenge Harris, otherwise her camp would never have agreed to the interview.
There’s a reason why they keep her hidden from public speaking off the cuff without a teleprompter. The Democratic nominee is a complete and total disaster when off script.
Here’s what Breitbart News has to say on the matter:
The media have not interviewed Harris on television since June 24, 2024, and the last time the press reportedly questioned her at a solo news conference was eight months ago on December 2, 2023.
“Dana Bash of CNN has a chance at greatness today,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “If she gave a fair but tough interview of Comrade Kamala Harris, she will expose her as being totally inept and ill suited for the job of President, much as I exposed Crooked Joe Biden during our now famous Debate.”
“How cool would that be for Dana and CNN??? Trump asked. “This is a chance for Dana Bash to reach REAL stardom, while at the same time doing a great service to our now failing Country.” Trump also addressed the Harris campaign for organizing the interview to include Gov. Tim Walz (D). Critics claimed Harris only agreed to do her first interview with Walz to reduce the time Harris would have to speak during the one-hour question and answer session with CNN’s Dana Bash.
“Also, the interview should not have Tampon Tim present to help with the inevitable Kamala stumbles, and under no circumstances should the transcript be allowed to be changed in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote in his post. “Good luck, Dana, do the right thing!!!”
I hate to disappoint the former president, but I just can’t see Bash doing her actual job and uphold journalistic ethics and integrity. First off, her handlers at CNN would be very displeased with a break from their marching orders. Secondly, Bash is sold out to being a propagandist, believing in the cause of the left.
Guess we’ll find out for sure if she really does have any integrity during the interview.
